In September 2016, Giant Shield received a contract from Senari Machinery to obtain the Design Approval and Certificate of Fitness for 3 units of hopper gantry crane to be installed and commissioned for Samalaju Port in Bintulu, Sarawak.
The cranes were manufactured by Qingdao Haixi Heavy-Duty Machinery Co. Ltd. For this, Wan Djawad, at the time, the General Manager of Giant Shield Engineering (M) Sdn. Bhd. was positioned at the manufacturing plant to work with the project and design team in Qingdao, China.
The cranes were delivered by end of 2016 and was ready for

load test in 2017. Wan Djawad and Robert White, Giant Shield's recently appointed Project Engineer attended the load test along side the officer from DOSH Sarawak. The inspection was a success despite taking the whole day due to bad weather.
