GSE (M) Sdn. Bhd. has recently signed a contract to provide design review and Design Approval submission for a total of 6 Launching Gantries and 1 Segment Erector for the Klang Valley MRT 2 SSP Line Packages:

Package V204: Construction and Completion of Viaduct Guideway and Other Associated Works from Bandar Malaysia South Portal to Kampung Muhibbah.

Package V208: Construction and Completion of Viaduct Guideway and Other Associated Works from Taman Pinggiran Putra to Persiaran Alpina.

​

Package V210: Construction and Completion of Viaduct Guideway and Other Associated Works From Persiaran APEC to Putrajaya Sentral.

1 Unit of Launching Gantry for Package V208 was previously used for Package V7 of the SBK Line KVMRT 1 also awarded to Giant Shield Engineering (M) Sdn. Bhd. For use in package V208, the LG is set to be re-engineered to accommodate the new capacity required for this package.

With this award, Giant Shield adds on to its repertoire for works involving Launching Gantries, Beam Launchers and Segment Erectors spanning KV MRT 1, Kelana Jaya LRT Extension Project, 2nd Penang Bridge and others.

The opportunity to work with various LG, BL and SE manufacturers have provided GSE with invaluable experience in refining our skills and capabilities in performing structural analyses for these special cranes including our own addition of fatigue analysis on gantry cranes to add value to our in-house reports for second hand/refurbished/re-engineered cranes.
